Furlough in notice period

My notice period is one week.
Handed in my notice on Friday, so last day of work was to be this Friday 5th.
This morning was brought into a meeting where I was told that some of the team are going back onto furlough because they aren’t as busy atm (I don’t believe this will be happening but I went along with it), and so they really don’t need me for my last week and can leave right now. I was told I will be paid furlough for this week.
It’s only now that I’ve thought about it. Is this alright? I’m still really shocked and at the time was more hurt at not saying goodbye to certain colleagues etc so didn’t even think about the pay. Are they allowed to furlough notice period? I haven’t received any furlough before as I have worked throughout the pandemic. I work in a call centre where people come and go a lot, and so people don’t usually work their notice, sometimes they even just text in to say that today was their last day.

If you Google 'forloughing during notice period' the first hit is useful and should answer your question
