Borrowing more on mortgage?

Hi so we fixed our mortgage for 2 years in November. We are looking into having our loft converted but we will need to borrow against the mortgage to fund it. Anyway to borrow more before the fix deal ends? Or best to wait till end of term? I just wish we had looked into it in a bit more detail before we fixed lol

You'll be able to get additional borrowing with current as a second mortgage subject to meeting affordability etc. We have this both payments are lumped together each month.
