Ordered a present for a very good price in October which was due to be delivered by the end of November. Never arrived. No answer to my emails. Now I've searched them and see this is a usual tactic of theirs. Maybe even a scam website? uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.preciouslittleone.com

What else can I do to recover the money, please, experts?

Trading Standards

Catawaul · 09/01/2021 16:01

Why are all the reviews made a few hours ago by people who ordered in October and November?

1starwars2 · 09/01/2021 16:04

Did you pay by PayPal /credit card? If so you should be able to get your payment reversed. Contact PayPal /credit card Co.

SnotLongTilChristmas · 09/01/2021 16:17

If you paid with a debit card you can call your bank and explain, they can then claim the money back for “goods not delivered” or something.

BuffyFairy · 09/01/2021 16:24

Thanks OP, you’ve reminded me to file a claim with paypal. I received some of my order just before Xmas (also placed in Oct) but not all. My order status on their website said they had not received stock of some of the items and I could choose other items or a refund. I used the contact us form for a refund and have heard nothing. This was just before Christmas.

No direct communication from them, I had to check my order status on the website to find out I would not be receiving items I had ordered.

Their website appears to be down. If you can claim via PayPal or credit card I would do so.

BabarEnFamille · 09/01/2021 17:51

I ordered in August and the delivery date kept on getting moved back to nearly Christmas then it took a couple of weeks to finally get a refund but I finally did. Absolute nightmare company

ivfbabymomma1 · 09/01/2021 18:01

Agree they are awful!!!! I did get my item eventually but it took blood, sweat & tears!!

Ch3rish · 09/01/2021 19:41

@Catawaul

That's very odd, almost like there's been some kind of organised campaign
Mooncupdotcom · 09/01/2021 22:01

@Catawaul I think it's more likely that lots of people also ordered Christmas presents early, like me, waited patiently through all the emails promising they were on their way, then requested refunds and are pursuing the nonpayment of those post Christmas....

Agree absolutely awful. I got part of my order and never received the rest. Spent months asking for a refund. Luckily I'd paid by Amazon Pay and they offer a guarantee. Lodged a claim with Amazon Pay and after 3 weeks got a refund from Precious Little One. I have no idea how trading standards haven't shut them down.

Catawaul · 09/01/2021 22:27

It appears they have ceased trading. There's a Facebook group set up by a customer, suggesting people claim the money back from their bank. The managing director has posted on the group.

BuffyFairy · 09/01/2021 22:31

@catawaul, it’s also likely that there are so many recent bad reviews because the website was taken down this week and there is talk that the company has gone bust. If anyone has been waiting for refunds and has now realised this, it may have spurred them to post a negative review.

BuffyFairy · 09/01/2021 22:32

Cross post!

Mooncupdotcom · 10/01/2021 11:42

Just seen the fb group of people chasing refunds.

Company has ceased trading.

Claim via bank or PayPal ASAP.

Lots of people saying their emails in their inbox from PLO have disappeared. Screenshot yours NOW so that you have proof of order.

Good luck.

There's something fishy about the FB group
I posted some very obvious advice about screenshotting emails as several people said theirs had been deleted /recalled. Group admin instantly deleted it. Several suggesting that someone from PLO is involved in the FB group...?

In short, go straight to your bank or PAYPAL and claim it back.

find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/06502674

They are still listed on Companies House as Active. Wonder why the fb group seem convinced they've ceased trading?

QforCucumber · 10/01/2021 18:04

Their phone lines are 'full' and no responses to emails now either.

I'm awaiting 85.50 refund for something due back In Nov

ComDummings · 11/01/2021 14:22

They’ve posted on FB today that they’re in administration

Mooncupdotcom · 11/01/2021 17:59

Looks like they're still trading?

If they are in administration you can contact the insolvency service and find out who the administrators are in order to register as an unsecure creditor.
Unless you have been able to claim the money back via bank/PayPal etc.
