TAX CREDITS: ANYONE CANCELLED THEIR CLAIM?

Just cancelled my tax credits claim and wondering what happens next / when will HMRC send their final calculations as I won't need to renew. Do I have to wait until next year? I'm not renewing so just need to make sure there are no overpayments / underpayments for this year. Thanks

I think it depends why you are cancelling. Is it because income has gone up?

Why are you cancelling rather than just informing them your income has gone up? Or are you moving to UC?

I added my boyfriend to my claim as he just moved in. With our combined income, we're not eligible. I keep hearing that everyone ends up with an overpayment once a single claim is cancelled. Is that true?
