Income protection JSA

DH lost his job in the summer and it's proving hard to find a new one as the whole industry has pretty much collapsed due to covid.

I'm in the middle of retraining so not bringing any money in at the moment.

We had income protection insurance on his salary which lasts 12 months but it's linked to JSA (to use as proof he's looking) anyone know what happens after JSA stops at 6 months?

Presumably he is claiming JSA contributions, after his 6 months has run out, he can still keep his JSA claim open and sign on for credits only (towards his pension)
