Can anyone help with a Child Benefit tax calculator question?

Part 5: "Pension contributions not paid from your salary (the amount you actually paid, not the grossed up amount)?"

What does this mean? Employers contributions? Inputs into additional private pensions?None of the above?? Confused

I'd imagine its private pension contributions you've made that aren't automatically deducted from your pay
