Hi all,
So my situation is that I'm 31 weeks pregnant with two small children. I'm currently working in the hospitality sector but they reduced my hours in half since it's not busy anymore due to the pandemic. I'm due to go to maternity in 7 weeks but I was wondering should I jobhunt now because the money i earn isnt enough for me to live off on? Or should I not bother?

How many hours are you working OP currently? I don’t think there’s much point in looking for a job with 7 weeks to go because by the time all the references and other checks have been processed you will be leaving for Mat leave before long.

You could try an agency for some work but they might not want to take on someone who is heavily pregnant. It’s worth a go if you’ve got enough time to sit and apply and also if you’re struggling on your new wages.
