Has anyone used Kensington Mortgages?

If so, do you know what credit company they use to credit score?

I would stay away if possible, a last choice lender for most. To the extent that if you have an existing Kensington Mortgage and are re mortgaging the under writer will have a good look over your case.

They tend to have higher interest rates then other lenders as often specialise in lending to people that can’t for whatever reason get a mortgage with more well known banks. E.g self employed, variable income, previous defaults on loans etc. They use main credit companies checks (In the past offered on self declared income but have more robust underwriting now) I assume you have gone through a broker who recommended Kensington. If you unsure about Kensington you could always use someone like l&c broker to double check if there is any better options for you based on current circumstances
