Kia car finance balloon payment

Hi there, bit of a random ask but does anyone know if the balloon payment for a Kia PCP can be made on a credit card? I know Audi would only allow £5k on a credit card, just wondered if Kia would be the same?

Maybe phone and ask them.

I believe it can be put on a credit card but you need to pay a transaction fee. I asked about this when we paid our kia balloon payment last year as I wanted to pay with my Amex to get the airmiles, but since they charged a fee of x% to do so, I decided just to use my debit card instead.

I don’t think people are allowed to charge a transaction fee anymore

Yeh that's a good point, but I was still being asked to pay something around 3% to use my Amex so I didn't bother.

Transaction fees are illegal, but you can understand them wanting to charge them, when they could be so big - 3% of £5k is £150, just for accepting a credit card payment - that will be a huge chunk out of their profit when it will cost literally pennies to accept a debit card payment. They could probably refuse to accept any card payment that costs them a big fee if they can't charge a fee.
