Tax credits to universal credit

My little boy turns 5 soon and I was wandering how soon after turning 5 will I be asked to move over to UC. Is it immediate or will I get asked to do it in a set timeframe.

I was told ages ago once he turns 5 it's a trigger to move across but I've heard nothing since.

It is pretty immediate that an income support claim will end unless you claim carers allowance. They should write to you to let you know .

You will actively need to claim universal credit. There will not be a transfer. They should contact you about the date. There is information on universal credit on citizens advice website
