Which pension to pay in to?

I'm not working at present but would like to pay into a pension.

I have 2 private pensions but I don't know which I should pay into. How do I decide? I'm clueless, what do I need to look for or what do I ask to find out which is better?

It might be worthwhile calling the pensions advice helpline, as they can tell you what to look for etc. helplines are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, number is 0800 011 3797. x

Assuming they're both with reputable big names then you could just look into the fees and deposit into the one with lower fees.

Obviously it's a lot more complicated as they may be in different assets giving different returns but I tend to think that you should optimise what you can control (fees) and not what you can't (market returns).
