Returning items that are now in the sale........

Hi

I bought some items a while ago and now I want to return them. I do have the receipt but the date I bought them is over 28 days ago - the thing is they are now at a lower price than what I paid for them. Do I get them exchanged at the price I originally paid or the lower price?

I took them to the shop and the staff couldnt agree - one said full price other said sale price.

TIA

Many stores now set a time limit on discretionary refunds , with or without receipt, so if you have exceeded that probably the best you can hope for it the most recent price. If you are within their declared timescale and rules then they should honour your receipt or other proof of purchase. You are not actually legally entitled to anything unless it is faulty/not fit for purpose etc.

OK Thanks!

The reduced price is better than nothing, but I just thought I would check!
