Hi All,

Have just been looking at finances and I have realised I really need to start budgeting so I don't always get massively overdrawn two weeks before my student loan is due!
I wondered if anyone had any budget sheets in excel or word format that I could take a peek at or any free software suggestions + any top tips..

Would be grateful for the help and happy to share any useful info I pick up on the way...!

Don't know of any software but it shouldn't be that complicated, surely? (though i'm sure there are some Organised People there who do that)

This is what we do:
Set everything up to go on monthly DD. Write down a list of every payment so you know how much needs to be spent on essentials. Make sure all the DDs go just after you've been paid or set up a separate accuont to pay all your bills out of. Work out what you've got left. Divide it by four and take that out of the bank each week. Don't take your debit card out with you. Don't spend any more money than you've got.

Well that's the theory anyway!
