Universal credit childcare costs reporting

Hello

Im wondering if anyone can come across this when dealing with UC childcare costs recently

Ive been reporting Childcare costs with UC with no issues at all.

The norm is When you first report a childcare cost, it is compulsory you provide evidence of INVOICE AND BANKSTATEMEN initially as evidence. Subsequently after that, you only need to provide bank statement as proof without invoice or receipt, which is what ive been doing till date, which shows clearly the childcare provider on the bank statement

Today i got a message that my cc costs have been rejected and now they need me to start providing both invoice AND Bank statement. She told me this is the new rule

so pls i want to ask if anyone has been told the same recently,?

or shes lying to get at me.to prove difficult or thinking im doing something shady, so want to know before i have at go at them

N:b I dont have any problem providing receipts/invoices for one which is a nursery, the other is an app where you pay for afterschool club daily or weekly, so its impossible to have an invoice for that which ive explained

Thank you

No advice but I think it’s awful how differently people are treated by the dwp compared to hmrc.

Thanks .its just so frustrating how these people treat us getting benefits to support working as a single mum.

Change the rules as they please
