Does anyone know how it works with redundancy and getting another job?

I've been made redundant. Last day is 12th March. I've just had a job interview, if I get it they want me to start on 16th March. Would I still get my redundancy pay?

That should be fine, if your last date is 12 March there is no reason why you can't start your new job on the 16th March.
Yes you still should get redundancy pay if the job is with another company.

It may depend- are they in the same pension scheme (like teachers, local authority?) if so you have to have a month long gap.

My memory of it is foggy, but if you start a new job within the period that your redundancy pay 'covers' you miss out on some of the redundancy. I made it by the smallest margin when it happened to me.

Like pp, if its same sort of industry like teaching or NHS then you have to wait a month or pay it back. If not it should be fine.
