Multiple bank accounts with same bank?

Hello, possibly a stupid question here so apologies in advance!
In a bid to be more financially organised, with the same bank I already have a joint account with my husband, another current account which is my own personal spending money, then a few saving accounts for various things.

I’m wanting another account which I can use purely for food/grocery/household shopping in a bid to easily see what I’m spending.
All out d/d come out of the joint account.
I’ve tried doing the groceries on my credit card and paying it off in full but it’s not something I want to continue.
I’ve tried to open another current account on my online app but it just says it’s unable to do so. Obviously I’ll contact bank but am I being stupid. Is there a limit on how many current accounts one organisation will let you have?
Also will multiple accounts affect my credit score?

I think there may be a limit. I looked many years ago for the same reason.

Have a look at monzo. You can have multiple 'accounts' on the app and just move money between them. You can label them however. I dont use it for full banking yet (trying to clear debt first) but I put my monthly spending in there and then move money into pots (christmas & holiday).

You can have a joint account now too but I still haven't set that up so not sure how well it works yet.

Ask the bank. Some are OK with it, some aren't. The second account might have to have no overdraft.

It is because you are trying on the app? Maybe you could try on the website instead. Some features don't work or aren't available on the app.
I have three current accounts (one joint) with a regular high street bank so it's definitely possible to open more than one.

We have 3 joint accounts with Halifax. They all show up on our log in page. We use on each for our own personal spending and one of them for all income / outgoings/ bills etc. We transfer a set and equal spending amount to the others as our own personal spending. It works well for us.

Nationwide app is great as is their online banking. You can have multiple accounts. So transferring money and checking on accounts is very easy.

I have accounts with Halifax also but their online interface is not as good.

I have accounts as follows:
Current account
Leisure
Car
Home
Holidays

I have a fully separate emergency fund.
