UC due on Sunday 29th will I be paid on Tues 24th ???

UC is usually paid on the working day before a weekend.

Mine is due on Sun 29th Dec so should be paid Friday 27th, but I can't get a straight answer from google as Friday 27th payments go out on Xmas eve (Tuesday 24th) because the DWP is closed and some articles are saying it will be paid on the Sunday instead.

Does anyone know?

It's a normal working day I think unless you are in northern Ireland.

I help answer questions from the public on this type of thing sometimes and we've been told that payments due on the 29th will not be made early.

It's a Sunday though?

Possibly the 27th but not the 24th

If you google, all of the newspapers appear to have published the same document that we've been given, which says that UC payments on the 29th will be processed on the 29th. Admittedly very weird, but I'd presume that'll be the case (or that'll you'll get it on the 30th) so that you don't end up stuck with no money.

Just been trying to help a friend figure this out. He usually gets paid on the Friday if the 29th falls on the weekend, so saying it will get paid on 29th can't be right -it'll never go in on a Sunday either.
He too is wondering if it'll go in on 24th as the 25th and 26th are not banking days. I hope so as I'm going to have to lend him some money otherwise and I'd rather not have to do so!

28th & 29th will be paid on 27th - spoke to UC & they confirmed it.
