Best account for kids

I'd like to open up (another account) for my two kids aged 7&8. I did do this some years ago with my own bank Halifax and we recently moved so called to try and change the address. For some reason the lady on the phone would only speak with my 8 yr old son!! I tried explaining I was the parent who set up the accounts for them but she was having none of it.. I got completely frustrated and gave up. Problem is I've been paying into these accounts monthly for well over two years now 😐 not huge amounts but I've now stopped the standing orders on both their accounts as I have no way of actually controlling them! So.. in your experience which bank account is best?

You cant change address over the phone. Go into a branch or write to them

Will try going into the branch, I was just flummoxed when she refused to talk to me about my own child's account

Santander 123 mini account seemed to be one of the best when I was setting up the kids accounts a couple of years ago. Interest rate is reasonably good and you have control of the money until they are 18 so you could withdraw it if you ever needed to.
