Loan advice - M&S or Sainsburys

I'm wanting to take out a £10,000 loan this weekend. M&S and Sainsburys are both offering 2.9% on comparison websites. Has anyone had a loan with either that they would recommend using or avoiding please? I've always had loans through my bank in the past so not too sure.

I’ve had one with Sainsbury’s, no problems with it at all

I've also had one with Sainsbury's. No issues at all (and nectar points)

I applied for both, after I applied the actual terms sent from M&S were way higher than the advertised apr but Sainsbury's was the same. I went with Sainsbury's and no problems at all. Very easy

I looked at both recently but neither had good reviews for time to sort and get the money and for offering different (higher) rates to those advertised. I went for Zopa in the end - not had any problems with them at all.

I had the opposite experience to avo. I initially applied to Sainsburys, but the interest came back stupidly high, over 10%, which made not worthwhile for what I wanted to do with the money - a top up/contingency in addition to money I had saved to pay for an extension.

I then applied to my own bank (Santander) and got about 3.9%, which I was happy with.
