Tax credits 16 year old

Hi just wondering if anyone can advise please.

I rung child tax credits last week to inform them that my 16 year old was staying in education, she advised that a new award would be created on 2nd september after my 16 year was put back in the system.
I have checked my tax credits online and its showing no payments due! But has now added her back on to the system, does anyone no how long it takes to process all the claims where 16 year olds have been added back on?

Even if you had informed them months ago, there would be a missing payment in September. Usually the correct award is shown the following week, but you never get back the missing payment.
I posted in a flap about this last year and was told that it would work out and it did, but it is frightening at the time.

You do get the missing payment it’s just averaged over the year so maybe not noticed.

Checked this morning paymenys are now on, extra payment due monday and back to normal every thursdag next week, so in theory i haven't lost any payments due to the extra one.

I am the same..i told them in june my son was starting college in September but never had this weeks payments. Mine is all back to normal next week though but i'm not getting any back payment whereas my friend is🤔

My son has started an apprenticeship this year and was wondering if I'll still get CTC

You usually wait a week and then it be in your account with the back payment if u don't get the back payment then call them they will add it withing 3 hours

U won't get txt credit because work place will pay him
