If you owe them money you receive your reward pretty sharpish minus the amount to be paid back.. This has been the case for 5 of My friends.
I HD a letter saying if my estimates were correct ( it was meant to be actual figures but they stuffed up so had to call again) said once renewal done and them. Figures correct they will Owe us over 3k..I confirmed the correct figures.. 4 weeks later still nothing. It's so infuriating as would be ideal. Towards a private rental deposit but it's taking forever.
That's my theory.. I'm. Probably being grumpy.

You’re probably going to be extra grumpy when they want to spread the underpayment out over the year, unlikely to get a lump sum :(

RollOnSummerBreak · 14/07/2019 17:22

It's a closed claim as moved to uc so they said would be a lump of 2650 and 663

I owed them £1500. That renewal took 13 months (claim year 2016-17, renewal done April 17, finalised May 18!!).

RollOnSummerBreak · 14/07/2019 18:30

How come it took so long?

No reason given.

I think we owe them money, they certainly aren't rushing the renewal! They always take ages and are a complete pain about it though as DH contributes to a private pension. One year they with held 6 months worth of money for no reason until they end of the tax year as they wouldn't pay anything until they had our final figures.

RollOnSummerBreak · 15/07/2019 09:54

Thanks. Accountant had given all figures. When I gave the actual figures they were to the penny what they had in the system
I can't even check online as they deactivated it when we applied for UC.

I renewed 9th June after 2 packs being issued. I received a text to say it will take 8 weeks.
I have logged on today to first see that it should be finalised by 22nd August and then when checking my payments, it said it was actually 30th November. What a joke. They have taken £200 a month from me and I was underpaid last year as they were using a higher income. So annoyed

RollOnSummerBreak · 15/07/2019 13:43

How do they get from Aug to Nov that's horrendous

I hate that I am so desperate to get it all finalised so I am really upset that it is now saying November. Yesterday I was trying to keep positive, as I am 5 weeks down now I was telling myself then worst is over and I only have 3 weeks of waiting left.
Oct and November have been thrown around for a while now but I was always told 8 weeks, according to my app. Today has upset me :-(

SpideyMom · 15/07/2019 14:04

30th November is 19 weeks away :-(

DustyDoorframes · 15/07/2019 15:24

Oh no Spidey!!! That's such a shitshow!
This year I've had pension contributions to deduct for the first time. It meant just writing a lower number in my income box and clicking ok, so I'm sure they will query- you don't even split it out in any way. It's such a weird system! We would be worse off under UC, but I can see why they decided to reform it!!!
