Are all wills available online?

I have another thread going on a different topic but it's made me think....

Are ALL wills available online?

My father died in 2016, his neighbour was listed as executor and told me I didn't get anything in the will and gave me the details of his solicitor.

I called the solicitor a couple of days after his death to see if I could get a copy of the will as next of kin. They said the neighbour had already been and collected the will.

I've looked online and my father is not listed under wills/probate for the year he died (or other years).

He won't have had much in terms of money (it was personal effects I was hoping for). Are all wills supposed to be available or only over a certain amount?

A will only becomes public record if it went to probate. If the estate was worth very little for instance, this may not have been necessary.

You can search the registry here and order copies of wills;

What paddybare said.

If all assets were held in joint names then it might not be necessary. Or low value assets.

Presumably you've contacted the neighbour?
