Hey, can anyone explain how the tax free child works. I've set up my account and now have my first bill from the nursery. Do I have to transfer the full bill amount?
Can someone please give me a idiots guide?

Say bill is £1000 you transfer in £800 and they top it up.

It can take 3 working days to transfer your money, then you need to go in and make the payment which can take 3 working days.

You have to select your nursery off the list and click that to make a payment

I applied for this on Friday last week but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone know how long the allocation process takes? I need to pay my invoice x

Littlemisssugarplum88 it can take a few days to a few weeks, depends how much data they can get via the online systems to confirm your eligibility. Have you tried logging in? See what you are able to access.

ClaireV23 payment in needs time to clear, so use a debit card (as that seems to clear fastest) and pay money in to your account.
Wait one working day and check the account, see if it shows a CLEARED balance and the topup added. Topup is 25% of what you have paid in, until you get to the £500 max topup per child per 3 months.Keep a track yourself of the topup yourself as I'm not sure that function on the website is accurate (anyone know if that is updating correctly now?).
Payment to childcare provider takes 3 working days on average. Do not do anything on the system after 3pm on a Friday as nothing happens until the next working day.

Childminder / Nanny: If using this type of provider then search for them using their registration AND postcode. No space in the postcode and only one space between registration and postcode. For example: EY123456 GU123AA

@nannynick Yeah I have tried logging back in and it just shows my application form that I've filled in. I am hoping it will be set up in time for this months invoice
