My laptop is suffering several problems - on eof which is that drivers for cd are now failing to be recognised by machine, or summink.

Anyway, it is a pile of poo and i want to get a refund but they are telling me i have to accept 3 repairs (which could take up to 28 days without a loan laptop) before they'll refund or replace.

Now, I know this i show it works in FRance re. statutory rights but surely this is not the case here.

Goods not fit for purpose =refund, or no?

Yes, you are entitled to a refund. The staff are likely told to try and get you to take repair, but keep pushing!
