Matched Betting - does this aspect of it sound legitimate?

I’ve been matched betting for about 4 years, never made a huge amount like other people do but a few hundred every month with several breaks. It’s been discussed lots of here, it’s legal and tax free, no issues.

My DH also does it and has been asked to get involved in some sort of casino group. It sounds complicated but from what I gather this group are asking him to sign up to high risk casino websites using his details but on behalf of them. He then gets to keep a % of the winnings and the rest is given back to casino group.

It sounds like a really bad idea and I’m telling him not to, he says it sounds fantastic!

Isn’t this illegal? Am I being too cautious. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I match bet and have quite a high risk tolerance but wouldn't touch this with a bargepole! It sounds fraudulent.

No way. NO WAY!

He would be crazy to do this.

I'd always be wary of someone else wanting to use my details!

I think this too but I’m very cautious.

The reason he says it must be fine is it’s the people from the Team Profit Facebook group that contacted him. They are a massive organisation, surely they wouldn’t be doing something that wasn’t legitimate. They always seem so decent Confused

It doesn’t feel right to me.

Who from Team Profit? I'd be very surprised if it was a moderator/someone from TP? It's more than likely someone he's got friendly with talking on TP page?

This has disaster written all over it.

@thefavourite I know what you mean and why you would think that.

I’ve been seen the Facebook messages myself and they are from prominent members. I’m not going to name them, dont want to get anyone into trouble.

I’ve talked him out of it, I don’t think he’ll bother.
