Anyone work in a Crown court? I've got a jury service question

I've got my jury service dates amended from slap bang in the middle of the school holidays to the w/c 17th December! Haven't got a choice, I know I can't get them to change it again, but whats the likelihood of me getting off lightly (so to speak!) since the second week will be christmas week? Anyone know if they close for Christmas week and will I be expected to do my second week in January?

The legal term ends on Friday 21st December. The next term starts on Friday 11th January. However, courts do sit during the vacation, with a reduced work load. I don't think they sit between Christmas and the New Year, but they may sit during the first week in January.
