Vast difference on 'Gov.uk Tax credits calculator' and 'Entitled to' ??

I put in the exact same information into both gov.uk tax credits calculator and entitledto sites and thea result of £300 difference each month. Very confused as to which would be right?

Has anyone else put the exact same information into these two websites and found vast differences in the results?

I have limited experience but I think the entitled to website lumps all possible benefits into one monthly payment - so HB, child benefit etc. The tax credits calculator just shows tax credits.

Could this be the difference?

You can't make a new claim for tax credits anymore. Are you already on them?

Sorry I should have said you can no longer make a claim unless you are in a specific group of people getting disability benefits.

Ah thanks. No I'm not already on benefits/credits. I understand now entitledto is (was) different to the gov tax credits site - I thought they covered the exact same credits and benefits.

Thanks both.
