Dh and I are employees (and directors) of our Ltd company.

Just doing our P11Ds, and back in april last year we both reclaimed the costs of eye tests from the company (both use computers alot, allowed to do this of course).

Where (and if) do I declare these?

If I didn't leave stuff like this till the last minute, I'd have time to ask the tax office. Of course their lines are busy today!!

I don't think so. My co pai8d for an eye test & did not stick it on my P11d.

will try & check.

No you do not IF you have followed their procedures. Costs for eye test and glasses are not a benefit in kind UNLESS you have paid for designer glasses etc. HMR&C will accept reasonable costs, not £200-300 though. Have a look at this link.

Isn't Mumsnet wonderful?

Thanks both.

Roundthebend, that link is interesting, I need to investigate if the company can contribute towards the costs of dh's speccies (and my readers) without it attracting a tax charge.
