Housing benefit, non dependents being students?????

Hi,
Does anyone know if when you turn 18 and become a non dependent on your parents housing benefit claim, if you are a full time university student but working too do they take your income into consideration?? Confused

They don't take your income into account during term times but if you work 16+ hours during the summer holidays they will take your income into account.
