One of you on an IVA

Hi all,

Am I right in thinking if I’m on an IVA, but my other half isn’t should mu other half be allowed to have some disposable income?

I understand there’s a fair share towards bills but presume they’re allowed something? Looking at providers and thought to check first.

Thank you

You're expected to pay proportionately towards bills etc then disposable income is allowed.
As an example if you earn £500, partner earns £1500 then household expenses total £1800 there is £200 left over, £50 is yours, £150 is your partners.
An IVA company would allow disposable income for your partner, but not much. I'm on the other side of this and I'm allowed £40 a month
