Maternity leave and universal credit

I am currently on maternity leave and receiving universal credit. As far as I'm aware the maternity pay will only be paid for 9 months. So if I want to take maternity leave for 12 months will I still receive universal credit even though my maternity pay will stop? Hope my question makes sense :s

Do you mean statutory mat pay ie but enhanced by your company? Do you receive any other elements of UC?

Yes I mean statutory maternity pay. I receive the housing element as well as the child element for the universal credit

Yes you will receive your full Uc amount if you have no smp coming in to reduce that amount. So you would get the total of your standard ( or couples ) element, rent element ( if you rent) and child element. When you go back to work your Uc will reduce again when you start to receive a wage and you can then claim the childcare element also.
