Best energy company?

I'm having continuing problems getting bills from EDF energy - we get gas and electricity from them and would like to pay a bill every 3 months (I usually do this as have got into problems in the past doing a monthly direct debit) - but EDF seem unable to generate a bill without me phoning up to hassle them for it each and every time.

I will switch in January, but if anyone can recommend a good company I'd appreciate it!
