I booked our holiday online with my barclaycard in May.Subsequently card got cancelled as someone was using it online fraudulently to buy stationery(???).I have a new card now everything fine BUT I need the old card to collect my eurostar tickets.Rang eurostar toexplain and they said just get a letter from barclaycard confirming my old card number and the fact it was cancelled and thats ok.So ring barclaycard to ask for letter and they said NO!No discussion nothing.They just said take your statement from your old account but eurosatr want a letter.I don't know where to turn

Trouble is you generally get the call centre to start with in all these things and they don't ever seem to want to go off script. Seems you have to start asking for supervisors early on to get any sense.
Anyway - glad it's sorted out and you can relax about it! What a hassle.
