Hi
I want to be able to see all bank accounts / credit accounts in one screen so I can manage my funds better. Does anyone use one the of the apps out there and do you rate it?

thx

Yes, money dashboard. It’s a brilliant app I’ve used it for a couple of years. You can connect as many accounts as you want and categorise your transactions so you can see exactly what you spend each month on fuel, food or whatever. Customisable too.

that sounds good! Exactly the type of thing I need.

Do you have any security concerns? How do you connect all your accounts to it?

Apparently on my Barclays app I can see all my accounts. I've yet to investigate

I use yolt for this. Was recommended on here.

Smidge001 · 03/10/2018 12:43

I'm interested too.

I had Yolt too but found it not as good. You connect your accounts from within the app. No security concerns, Martin Lewis recommends it

indianwoman - what didn't you like? What is better about Money Dashboard?
And which one does Martin Lewis recommend ?

Money dashboard is better because it's more customisable . I can't remember much else about holt as I briefly tried it but didn't like it as much as MD, I can't really remember any more, sorry! Thing is, just download it and try it! If you don't like it, delete. It's free, after all!

thank you! I will have a look.

My Barclays app told me I could see other bank accounts. However, the one I wanted to add wasn’t one that is supported at the moment so that fell at the first fence

I don't care who recommends what, or how much anyone assures me it's safe, there's no way I would share all my account details and passwords with any app. No IT system is 100% secure and hackers only need to find one vulnerability, get lucky just once, to get in.

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 07/10/2018 10:23

yes perhaps "too good"
what do you do then to keep onto of it all everyday?

I use a spreadsheet to track all my expenditure, income and account balances. It doesn't take much effort as so many of our outgoings are set monthly amounts paid by direct debit. We also have quite a few different accounts set up - main account for salary in and monthly bills, another for groceries, several saving accounts for different purposes and we each have a personal account for our own discretionary spends.
