MLM Bot Watch 42

Spongebobette · 18/08/2018 12:09

This is the 42nd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

I notice that Mrs Stickman has been asking about good local nurseries.

Why would you want a nursery if you have such a family friendly business that you can work around your child? You know, that business that was "sold" to you whilst you started your maternity leave as being the answer to spending more time with your baby? Hmm

BSintolerant · 16/09/2018 20:08

I think she wants a nursery which sells plants Kenny. It can't possibly be a nursery catering for kids because we all know that Forever Fibbing is the perfect so-called business opportunity which busy mumpreneurs can fit into the pockets of time / nooks and crannies whilst simultaneously breastfeeding their five triplets, listening to mindset training, and trying to work out the figures in the marketing plan (which will eventually make sense to anyone who can simultaneously breastfeed five triplets). Grin

Whiterangey · 16/09/2018 20:48

@BSIntolerant You're posts are the best Grin

We need a whole thread just for your humour and sarcasm Grin

BSintolerant · 16/09/2018 20:59

Grin Thank you Whiterangey. I will remember you in my Will for your kind words. A little bit told me sarcasm was Willable.Wink

BSintolerant · 16/09/2018 21:01

... little bot, not bit!

Whiterangey · 16/09/2018 21:04

The good thing about your sarcasm is that you don't have to work at it, you can survive the rest of your life on your residual sarcasm.

How fantastic is that?

BSintolerant · 16/09/2018 22:14

Residual sarcasm Grin - love it!

As for humour ... It's just as well modern medicine has done away with the doctrine of the humours otherwise we'd have bots making outrageous medical claims about how aloe cured their dog's yellow bile and turned their phlegm into crypto currency.

Whiterangey · 16/09/2018 22:43

Big pharma is only out to make money.

Buy my Aloe goop with money instead, it will cure everything you've ever suffered from including that annoying excess money in your bank account.

It’s the Valentus Global Rally in Vancouver.

I saw an extremely disturbing post from a UK Double Diamond about her experience of the rally which perfectly illustrated all of the parallels to cult behaviour. She spoke about being broken down by the rally, being “cleansed” and then said that through Valentus & the rally experience she had been “born again”.

How cult-like does that sound? The tears, the rapture, the coffee that makes you shit yourself...

cozietoesie · 17/09/2018 13:15

Dear Goodness

She was referencing a coffee??

ArbunneHun · 17/09/2018 14:03

These events are designed to heighten your emotions.

Ugh

ArbunneHun · 17/09/2018 14:08

Ex-FL Bot who defected to Ariiiiix and prompted a particularly bonkers video from the Ariiix CEO has posted bank statements. One is from Sept 2011 (pre-MLM, ££)and one is from Sept 2017 (Arriiiix, £££££).They are designed to show the haters that MLM does work. Oh, and to illicit a flurry of responses from people wanting to know more about her #biznizzz.

BigBlueBubble · 17/09/2018 17:14

I posted a thread about this earlier today and was directed here. These businesses are driving me nuts. My newly self employed friend is flogging Usborne books and has started messaging her friends’ friends who obviously have kids, saying hi we’re both mums, I’d love to meet you for coffee. So she can give them the hard sell and persuade them to buy books for Christmas. Check your settings and hide your friends lists!

Whiterangey · 17/09/2018 21:39

Hate Usbourne books because they target schools and parents. They also seem to have more of an air of respectability among people than other MLM's despite them being just like any other MLM.

I'm sorry your friend is mixed up in them, I hope she sees the light soon.

cozietoesie · 17/09/2018 21:58

They trade on the notion that BOOKS ARE A GOOD THING! (Pretty, colourful and WORTHY. )Ideal for Xmas or birthday pressies etc etc.

Whiterangey · 17/09/2018 22:08

Just a heads up that Castle will be removing her ebay listing for her garden furniture tomorrow, so you had better either buy it now before then or make a sensible offer close to the asking price.

Her house is still for rent as well.

I think that she is probably shocked about the furniture and house, she is used to everything going her way and money being thrown at her when she wants it. She also has a huge influence over her many bots and I think she felt that extends into real life so when she basically said "Buy my garden furniture for £1300" someone instantly would. The same as "rent my house for £2150 a month" I truly believe she thought it would take a couple of days.

The house is very isolated, and would only suit a particular person in particular circumstances. It doesn't look to be in the ideal place for commuting and that will lower the interest in it.

Whiterangey · 17/09/2018 22:12

Salon has reduced the price of her house by almost £5k today. It's gone from £199,995 to £195k.

I'm no estate agent, but from homes the same size that have been sold in the same area recently, the top price appears to be around £160k, and while the decor isn't that bad, not my taste but whatever, it's not exactly high spec inside.

BigBlueBubble · 17/09/2018 22:50

My friend thinks she has more chance of making money from Usborne books because people won’t buy makeup (her previous MLM) because they already have their favourite brand of makeup, but nobody has a favourite brand of books.

Except Amazon, where you can buy exactly the same books for £3-5 less.

Whiterangey · 17/09/2018 23:10

Who wants to save money by shopping at Amazon?

Not me, i'd rather spend my money on some overpriced books.

It's really sad, they have obviously got to her, she will barely sell anything. From what i've heard about Usbourne, the uplines always sneak in a grab the good things, like being the ones who go into schools and sell the books etc, leaving those they recruit to have no customers.

cozietoesie · 17/09/2018 23:13

You can certainly buy them cheaper elsewhere. Smile

fitgirl26 · 18/09/2018 07:27

So what's the deal with Valentus? Why are so many ex Bots coming back to it? FemalepreneurBot is back after publishing her shitty book, Salon is back, Broke's Ex is back (serving of humble pie after her tearful THE TRUTH live when she left). Does Shingles ever post on here any more - she seemed to think they were all but finished a few months ago?

Jonsey32 · 18/09/2018 09:55

Yeah I’m confused about Valentina too.
I saw on femalepreneurs page that she is going back to Valentin and has comments in reply from salon.
I thought salon had left.
I was so hoping for a final demise of valentus after all that drama last year.

darceybussell · 18/09/2018 13:23

Just been having a nosy at Salon's house. I thought she made hundreds of thousands of pounds a year - she certainly hasn't spent it on furniture. Presumably buying house stuff doesn't look as impressive on social media as buying louboutins...

BeverlyGoldberg · 18/09/2018 14:16

I have dipped in and out of these threads more or less since they started but you've lost me with all the code names!

However, may I ask - is Body Shop at Home MLM? I have a 'friend' on Facebook who I have not interacted within since school. She never commented on my wedding, birth of child, any life event whatsoever... suddenly adds me to a her Body Shop group (unsolicited) and suddenly it's "Hi Hun, how are you, I'm placing an order today, fancy winning this fab advent calendar" etc...

Aside from being massively pissed off by this I wonder if it is MLM which is why the sudden urge to crawl up my arse?

Whiterangey · 18/09/2018 15:24

Why does Yawn think her feet look like children's feet? It appears there are heels on her boots which at that angle would make them look smaller than they are.

I don't understand why she posted that photo and that comment? The boots aren't even practical.
