I'm certainly not anti goals, but to be solely focussed on goals often masks greed. It certainly does in bot world.
I have goals, but life absolutely gets lived in the pursuit of them. Nor are they particularly material, except the desire to own a property. And even that goal is more about investing in my retirement as opposed to wanting a great big countryside or city home. I'd like something big, but it's not the be all and end all and only if money allows. If I could afford a higher end car then great, but if all I'll ever have is a safe vehicle to get me from a to b then I'm just fine.

The last part from the femalepreneur book is vomit inducing:
So if you are ready for unstoppable success then grab your prosecco, pull up your boss babe pants and let’s get ready to step into your Femalepreneur power!
Prosecco & boss babe pants?
A) Gin
B) What the fuck are boss babe pants?
C) None of the above bring success.
A solid business plan, a USP, funds beyond business in a box costs and sheer fucking hard work, whilst ploughing profits straight back in to the business, might. If the business is independent that is.
I'm scared to start my own because the thought of it potentially not working (because the fail rate in real indy businesses is still significant) scares the crap out of me.
Perhaps I need to pull up my boss babe pants
