Legal Aid saying I owe them £5000!

Today I received a letter from the Legal Aid debt recovery department saying I owe them £5000.

To keep the history as brief as possible I last had Legal Aid in 2010, I received a letter from them stating that I was no longer entitled. Due to this my involvement with my solicitors came to an end at the same time, they told me they would take care of everything sent back all my paperwork and I have had no communication from them since.

In 2011 I moved house and have had no communication from anyone until today. I called the debt recovery people who claim that I used Legal Aid in 2013 which I haven't.!? They referred me to the decision makers office who said they updated the system and have no information on why I was sent this letter.

What the hell is going on? I have been shaking all day and waiting for someone to call me back. Has anyone else been in this situation? I don't know what to do
