Tax credit specialist team

Hi, I informed tax credits on the 5th may 2018 that my son is now receiving DLA.
At the start and June I contacted them again as my claim hadn't updated. They told me it had been referred to a specialist team as they had processed the update but the system wouldn't update due to technical issues and it had been referred to a specialist a few weeks earlier.
They then told me to contact them in a week for an update (been told to do this now for last fews weeks)
It's also affecting my renewal, as they system wont generate it.
Has anyone else had this issue? How long did it take to fix? As I'm worried my tax credits are going to stop because of this technical issue.
