My parents this week received a letter to their house addressed to 'Miss Lovelyjubilly Maidenname' from the National Bank of Australia. My dad opened it and it was just a letter about data protection following new legislation.
I had a bank account with them when I was there in 2001 and thought I had closed the account but they obviously still have records for me. This is the first I have heard from them in the intervening 17 years but I am a bit worried that I have left a (potentially overdrawn) bank account there.
There was no account number on the letter and I can't even remember which branch the account would have been held with.
Any idea what, if anything, I can do?
