Please help me with YNAB transactions!

So I have just gone for the free trial of YNAB and it looks perfect for what I want. I have added my accounts and portioned the money out to my budgets all fine. The issue I have is with transactions. I have watched the YouTube tutorial and copied it but rather than subtracting my transaction from the amount I have budgeted it is making it the amount I have budgeted. For example I have budgeted £50 for eating out. I add a transaction for £20 in that category and instead of reducing the amount available to £30 it is resetting the budget as £20. What am I doing wrong?!

Sounds like you are editing the budget rather than adding a transaction. YNAB have superb customer service, get in touch and they will hand hold you through it,

Are you doing it on your phone or via desktop?

I have worked it out, was doing it on my phone which was a bit confusing :)

Yes, it's much easier on desktop until you get the hang of it Smile
