Car lease company fine

I have a leased car which I received a letter from the lease company saying they have paid a fine in my behalf. This was 3 months ago and thy are only just telling me and adding a £25 admin charge as well. I wish to appeal the fine ( which is now out of time) which I have informed the lease company and they are going write a letter of authority so I can dispute it. What I am angry about is the lease company have just taken the fine amount from my bank account with out telling me. The original letter told me how to pay them the fine amount, and now they have just taken it. Are they allowed to do this??

That's naughty. I had a parking fine whilst with a lease car with Citroen. They sent it to me immediately (within a week I think) and asked me to resolve. As it happened, I had a good case with the private parking company and they canceled the fine. I informed the lease company and that was the end of it.

Thanks for replying! Yes I'm very annoyed they just paid on my behalf and let me know 3 months later and then took money without my permission Hmm

I know it’s not much help but unfortunately This would have been detailed in terms of the lease that you agreed to, and it’s pretty standard when leasing a car.
