Very pleased with myself.

AA renewal came today.

£119.25?!

so I check on line price - it is...

£92.80

so I phoned them up and the retentions people have matched the price Even used a freephone number

The AA are pretty good at knocking the prices down - if you get put through to the right department.

We got 2 car/person cover with all the trimmings for about £105, Direct Line matched it, so I went bak to the AA and they did it for £90.

Now saving my Tesco vouchers for the RAC next year!

They all do it.

We always go online when our renewals come in from Norwich Union and always save money.

This is one of the reasons I can not be (')ed to switch power suppliers.

I checked out the RAC option thought TESCO though and the best option for replay etc doesn't include Homestart... I phoned them up to see if I could add it on but they couldn't give me a definite price...

Actually did the same thing with my car insurance a few weeks ago.. Same company but got it for £35 cheaper... plus £70 cashback though R-points
