Child Benefit/Tax Credit help please

I'm currently receiving both Child Benefit and Tax Credits for dd one at £17 a week and the other at £10 a week (give or take a few pence).

I'm due to have twins in July, take my 9 months maternity, then a career break for 3 years. What will I be entitled to when we've only got one wage coming in? Will it go up or stay the same - does anyone know?

Will I get two allowances for the twins or just one?

Confused!

That sounds like just Child benefit with no Tax Credits atm. You 'd automatically get additional CB of £12.10 per child. Not sure about Tax Credits .

Hi,
All I know is this! We have one income, pensions! We have 9 yr old triplets. We get child benefit x 3, giving a higher rate to the first born!!! The other two get the lower rate. Child tax credit we get for all three at the same rate! Any help?
