Car insurance no claims bonus

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has come across this.
I have recently been given a company car as I am doing alot of business miles and it will save the wear and tear on my car. To avoid having 3 cars we decided to sell DHs car as it’s older than mine. He has just received his proof of no claims bonus through from the insurance and it details a claim on there which was my claim against the insurance in my car not his. Obviously I had to declare it as I was also a named driver on his policy but I don’t understand why this would be showing on his proof of no claims bonus when it’s nothing to do with him or the car he owned? Any thoughts?

Because the claim was on his policy, I assume? You said it was his car you were selling?

Oh wait - I see what you mean - you declared it when you got his insurance, but it wasn't a claim on that insurance.

Will you still be a named driver on his new insurance on what was your car?

Car insurance is a weird thing Confused

Hi, yes I had an acciden in my car but declared it on his as named driver. It’s nothing to do with him but still showing on his no claims bonus. So confusing!!!

Does the claim on his NCD cert say it was your claim or does it look as if it was his?

If you're going to still be covered on his insurance now then whoever provides it will need to know about it, but if it doesn't name you then it looks as if it was his claim, & he should ask them to issue another NCD cert making clear that it wasn't his.
