Timescales for obundsman & PPI

We've had to refer DP's PPI claim to the obundsman as the original lender is being obstructive.

Has anyone been through the process? How long did it take?

I'm thinking the lender is just trying to frustrate/stall the process & wondering if it will miss the timescales because of this.

I used the Ombudsman because Lloyds refused to accept they'd acted wrongly. I can't remember how long it took (the Ombudsman found in my favour) but it wasn't long.

OK I have looked at my email. I wrote to them on 7th December (not last year) and by 17th December I'd had a cheque from Lloyds.

Thanks for your reply; I like the sound of that timescale! Had read the obundsman's website & it seemed to be saying that it could take up to 1-2years.

DP had PPI with EGG, who have subsequently been bought over. Despite having provided a huge bundle of information, they are now saying it doesn't include all previous addresses - which it does. I think they're just playing silly buggers to delay the process.
