What to put for tax credit application?

Please help as I'm so confused.

DH works a set 40 hours a week. My hours are unpredictable; sometimes it's 25, sometimes it's 14 hours a week- there's no set contract but it's all done properly, through NI and HMRC. What do I fill in for my bit of the application? TIA

Just make a note that it is variable. If you are wanting to claim help with childcare then it must average at least 16 hours every week. They are very strict where there is a condition for hours to be worked every week like for working tax credits and childcare.

You do an average- think back over the last 6 weeks and put your weekly average number of hours. Put a monthly reminder in your phone to check is still roughly that. If it has changed by a lot, let them know. But do your darnedest to keep the average above 16 hours as that's a big TC threshold!
