Can I have an ISA if I claim Working Tax Credit

I have a little money (for the first time ever!) and was thinking of putting it into an ISA. I have no pension and am self-employed in part time work. I am single parent with an 10 year old, hence my truncated working life.
Would my Working Tax Credit be affected if I put some money into an ISA?

No you just have to declare any interest over £300 a year that the money earned. You are unlikely to earn this unless it's a large sum.
