0% credit after mortgage?

Hello!
Does anyone know how soon you can apply for 0% credit after you've moved into your home? From advice on here I've updated voting register, bank details etc to new address. I'd love to apply for 0% credit on new carpets (about £2k worth) but just completed on Friday. Is it too soon to apply?

I'd also like to apply for 0% credit for a new kitchen with Ikea but assume I'll get declined if I get out the 0% for the carpets. Is there a general grace period?

tia!

It's never occurred to me to wait between completing on a property and waiting with a credit card application. I've had both and have never been declined so doubt it makes much difference.

There are no magic numbers unfortunately. Every lenders criteria is different and no one can tell you how it’s worked out.

Personally I wouldn’t think moving into a house, as a individual factor, would result in you being rejected. And one failed application isn’t going to have a negative impact on your credit history, only multiple ones will do that.

If I were you I’d make the application but if you are rejected then don’t go around making other applications trying to find someone who will approve you. Many wait 6 months and try again.

We managed to get credit the day after we moved in. For carpets and M&S furniture. Had to get bank statements to prove address.
