I am gutted and so angry with DH!!!

I got home from collecting DS1 from preschool this morning and there was a piece of paper which had been posted through the letterbox - no envelope. I picked it up and it is a final notice of eviction [sad and I had no idea the mortgage was even in arrears as is is in DHs name because he bought the house before we were together. I aksed him receently about the money situation and he told me he had credic card arrears but the mortgage was all up to date I could kill him right now and he is not answering his work phone!!!!!!!!!

oh shit! god poor you - thats horrid situation, is there any thing that you can do to help?

I called the solicitors and they couldnt discuss sums with me but it is pay up within the month or get out

can dh pay it by end of month

I have no idea how much it is but I really doubt it - we have no savings and dont earn that much

Holy cow, wish there was some advice I could give but am so shocked for you. Guessing calling the council and CAB immediately to sort out something for you and children would be the best thing to do straight away and worry about burying not-very DH under the patio when you've got somewhere to stay perhaps ?

Yes, he has behaved very badly and irresponsibly. But you cna dela with that later - for now look after yourself and, as you are doing, see what can be done.
Was it the mortgage company's solicitors you called? Of course they will say that.
Get an apointment with the CAB immediately...and good luck tracking down your DH.

You might get specific expert help with a thread title like 'HELP! eviction letter form mortgage co' - the the people with experience who tend to look in this category will be alerted. Your thread title sounds like a relationship thread, iyswim.

my dh did similar recently but we rent.i opened note from landlady saying we owed £3000,hed not mentioned it and was flashing cash on other things.luckily were still here.im trying to keep up with the bills,he still doesnt see how serious it is.

I mean, whatever you feel about DH atm will not be helped by you and children being homeless. So look after your home first, deal with DH later.
