Has anyone successfully claimed tax credits for third child under the new rules after escaping a controlling relationship?
Expecting my third any day and have been reading up on the special circumstances where you can claim for third child.
Single parent after finally seeing I was being controlled by my ex partner Sad suffering anxiety and depression as a result and seeing a councillor to help me.

Sorry not sure if I’ve posted in the right place.

Is your counsellor linked to a particular organisation such as Women’s Aid? There is specific rules in place around who can be used to confirm that you were in an abusive relationship, have a look here for guidance.

Well done for leaving him!

No but I’ve read it can include doctors, midwives, social worker etc which I have been seeing so thinking they could sign the supporting documents required as they know the situation x
